Choosing the Right Lock

Some items within our range of security steel doors come with an option which allows you to choose the type of lock you require.

This page hopes to make that decision a little easier by outlining each of the options we provide.

Union Sashlock & Lever Handles

Manufactured byUnion, this choice of lock is suitable for doors of a maximum 54mm thick. Our Union Sashlocks can be unlocked from either side of the door using a key and are suitable for both internal and external applications.

5 Lever Sashlock (BS3621) & Lever Handles

Our 5 Lever Sashlocks work in a similar way to our Union Sashlocks however these locks are typically recommended by the Police Force out of the two for the added security that they provide. Approved by BS3621, these locks use a bolt throw of 20mm and have an anti pick device built in for extra protection against illegal entry.

Union Emergency Escape Sashlock & Lever Handles

Part of the Union range, these locks do not require a key to open but can only be unlocked from the inside. As opposed to our previously mentioned locks, our Emergency Escape Sashlocks work by using the lever to unlock the entry, however, once the door closes, it will automatically be re-locked from external entry.

14 Point Locking System

Our 14 Point Locking System earns its name from there being 14 points of contact between the door and the frame when it is locked. As these locks have been rigorously tested and certified by the LPCB, this is the most secure lock we offer.
